Computer Safety Tips
If you own a laptop, a netbook or a notebook, you are probably worried about viruses, trojans, and worms infecting your system. There have been posted tips online on antivirus softwares which help in preventing virus attacks. They do help, but they cost a lot. They give trial periods but to 30 days only. And Yes, antivirus softwares just help. They cannot guarantee a 100% protection as they always claim.
I personally do not have a 3rd-Party Antivirus program. Though, I do not suggest not installing antivirus program.I just take extra precaution with my computer. I'd like to share these tips with you.
1. Do not DOUBLE CLICK in opening flashdrives. I advise to always open by right-clicking the icon and explore or open. Some virus attack once you clicked the icon. They have Autorun.inf programs.
2. Use USB Disk Security. Though it claims 100% protection, It's not true. But as I said, it helps. It scans faster compared to other antivirus programs.
4. Install an antivirus software. Install only one. It is not advisable to have two or more antivirus software since they may overwork your CPU. Have at least one to help in protection. I suggest Avast, Avira and Kaspersky. Avast and Avira are free. Kaspersky offers 30day trial.
3. Once your computer crashes, seek technical help. Some computer experts costs a lot. You can always ask me to take a look first. Remember: your files are still intact and can still be recovered even if the computer OS is not working.
